It's a Girl (x3)

We had a good appointment this morning and all 3 babies looked great. It was confirmed that we will be the proud parents of 3 little girls. Hopefully they look like their mom! All of their measurements were great, they each had all of their hands, fingers, feet, toes, etc. It is a little early to do much in depth looking at their hearts but each girl had 4 chambers so we are looking good. All 3 babies took time to wave at the camera as well, it is so fun to watch them squirm around and wave their hands and feet. The Dr's kept saying how photogenic our little girls are already.

The Dr did say that baby C (one of the identical twins) had 2 blood vessels in her cord compared to the normal 3. This is fairly common in multiple births but is also possibly a sign (10%) of birth defects. All of her measurements looked great and their was no indication of any problems, just one more thing to watch and worry about. Her umbilical cord was connected on the side of the placenta instead of in the middle which could be the reason she was a little smaller. So please keep these things specifically in your prayers.

Lastly, the Dr ordered a cervical cerclage (a couple of stitches in Ali's cervix) for Ali to help keep the babies in side the womb until we want them to come out at 35 weeks. The procedure is tomorrow morning at 10am, we don't know yet when Ali will come home. It could be a day or they may keep her for a few days if she starts to have contractions due to the surgery. This also means the start of bed rest for Ali, this is about 3 weeks earlier then we expected.

We are extremely excited that all 3 babies looked healthy and strong.

Please pray for Baby C and her health specifically as well as the health of the other 2.

Please pray for Ali as she prepares for surgery tomorrow and a long road a head of staying in bed.

We are hoping to make it to December 30th which would be Great Grandma Jonswold's birthday

We will update this site soon with new photos from today and on how the surgery went.
