Okay, so quick cute mommy story:
The past 3 weeks the girls have gone to "Parent's Time Out" at our church.
And, the past 3 weeks, they have REFUSED to go to music class.
Like crying, screaming, won't budge, refused to go!
For some reason, or another, they are terrified of their music teacher. (Which no one can seem to figure out?!?)
I had a "conference" with their teacher about how to possibly get them to go.
No luck.
She asked if for punishment we lock them in a room and turn on the radio. ;)
I had high hopes for today after all of our brainstorming. We dropped the girls off, and they just ran in to play with the other kids, (great! They are liking it!) but when I picked them up, again, we had another bad music report.
When the teacher told the class that it was time to go to music, my terrified little Brynn and Leah lost their minds...screaming, crying, hysterical.
Maryn decided she was going to be brave and try to go.
As she walked out of the room with the other kids, Brynn and Leah SCREAMED, "NO SISTER! NO MUSIC! NO SISTER!"
They screamed so loud and so long that the teacher that stayed behind with them finally had to go and get
Maryn OUT of music class because Brynn and Leah were terrified that she went "alone."
How cute that my almost 2 year
olds look out for
each other already. (even if it does have to be for something as harmless as music class)
The teacher also told me that a little boy had a toy that Leah wanted, and she went up to him and said "Share please!" The teacher said that in all of her years teaching she has never heard a one-and-a-half year old ask someone to share so politely.
Girls, for the record, I'm so proud of you!
Though I still can't understand your fear of music class, I'm so happy to see your kind and loyal hearts shine through even at this early age!
Lots of love!
