The Jonswold's Model...Take 1

A couple of weeks ago we got to meet Ms. Kathy Quirk-Syevertsen. She is a local artist/photographer who wants us to do some modeling for her. We really liked playing with Ms. Kathy! Guess what?! She was a child model when she was a little girl, and when she got older she worked in the fashion industry.
I (Leah) think it would be really fun to be a fashion model. Today, mommy tried to make me wear some old tennis shoes. "No way", I told her "sparkle shoes or bust!"
Pink sparkle shoes and my pink purse for my Great Grandpa's 94th birthday party! I looked great, if I do say so myself.
Here are some of our test shots.

No More Nonnie (For Real This Time!)

Yesterday was the day!
We talked about it for a long time, but I hoped it would never really happen.
Yesterday, I gave up my nonnie.
(I am not sure if it was more sad for me or for my mommy)
When I woke up in the morning, mommy and I decorated a box for me to put my nonnie and other baby stuff in.
I went on a search through the house for all of my nonnies.
(Mommy and Mimi made me take them out of all of my best hiding places....darn!)
I thought maybe I could get one last little taste while it was in the box.
That's not cheating, right?
Then, we packed the nonnies up in the box and brought them over to baby Natalie to have.
I hope she loves my nonnies as much as I did.
I think she will! She was very happy when I gave them to her!
I even showed her how they work the best!
I thought I was going to be okay, until it was time to go. As we pulled away from the house, I got pretty nervous. I didn’t cry, but I did feel pretty sad.
I thought I would miss my nonnies really bad.
But you know what, being a big girl isn't as hard as I thought.
I have only asked mommy and daddy for my nonnie once.
They just had to remind me that we gave them to the baby so that she isn't sad.
I got a new "Snow Bear" for being such a big girl.
There was nothing to worry about mom.
I am doing great!
Love,
Maryn

A Day of Firsts

Preschool!! Today was our very first day! Our teachers name is Ms. Lisa.
She is really nice.
We were very excited to go this morning.
Maryn thought it might be more fun if she could bring her bear.
Here we are, backpacks on, just waiting to go!!
Our daddy came with to drop us off today.
Welcome to preschool!
There are lots of fun things to do at preschool!

Here is where we hang our backpacks.
My whole family!
After a while, it was time for the mommies and daddies to leave.
I wasn't so sure I was ready for that, but daddy said it would be okay.
and it was!
After preschool mommy picked us up and we went to the dentist for the very first time.
I (Brynn) did GREAT!
I wasn't scared at all!
Check out my shades!
I got my teeth cleaned, got X-rays and at the end...got 2 prizes!
I picked a football balloon and a football arm band.
(daddy said we are going to watch the Vikings game tonight)
Leah was a little scared, but after she watched me, she decided it would be okay to sit in the dentists chair too.
(She told the dentist that she would NOT lay down, but he could clean her teeth sitting up if he wanted...and he did)
When she was done, she got a prize too!
Maryn didn't want to have ANYTHING to do with the dentist. She ran away to the waiting room every time the dentist tried to bring her to his chair. :(
She was afraid.
She gets to try again in a couple of weeks.
We'll tell her it's not scary!

What a fun (and busy!) day!
Love,  Brynn
