Wow, what a day! Today, we marched for babies! We went out in the rain and raised over $2,100 for preemies! That is WAY more than I can count to. (but, I can count to 15 in English and 10 in Spanish! Pretty good, huh?)
When we got to the walk we played at the park while we waited for our friends to join us. We wanted to stay FAR away from the scary people dressed up as barnyard animals. Dad called them "mascots" and said they were nice. I disagree.
Here is a picture of my family. Mom says we are blessed cause we are all together and healthy. There were a lot of blessed families walking with us today! I know there were some families who were missing special babies too. That's why we were walking.
When the countdown to race time started, we loaded up! Here is a picture of us with our buddies Jack and Kaelan.
Ready, Set, GO!!!
All along the trail there were stops with snacks and prizes.
Pretty sure walks don't get better than that!
Here is a picture of us with our Mimi, Papa and Auntie Lauren. Cheese!
After the race we went out for lunch. I was so tired that I slept through lunch in Mimi's arms.
I woke up just in time to have a bite of my favorite Mac and Cheese before heading home.
Here is a picture of our team at Champps!
GO TEAM JONSWOLD!
Thanks to every single one of you who walked with us, donated or thought of us on this special day.
Love, Leah
P.S. On a completely unrelated, but still very important subject.....We said BYE BYE to our baby cribs!!!Big girl beds only for these big girls. No night time escapes, but we HAVE been getting up early enough in the moring to tune in for the first Blue's Clues episode on Nick Jr. (for those of you without kids, that means 6 a.m.) When we were in our cribs, mom didn't let us out until Arthur. (7 a.m.) Mom says we are her little roosters. Cockadoodledoooooooooooo!!!!!!!
