BIG TROUBLE!

Hi,
It's Maryn.
Brynn and Leah are in time out, and they might be forever, so I snuck away to the computer so that I could tell you what happened. They were SO NAUGHTY! (Remember, I had nothing to do with the bad behavior!)

Mommy told us we had to come inside for supper. Brynn and Leah didn't want to. So they followed mommy inside and waited for their chance. Mommy went upstairs for a few seconds thinking we'd be safe in our house like we always were (and literally everything is babyproof) Boy was she wrong! She didn't know that when sisters put their heads together, they come up with great plans!
Brynn and Leah decided to make a break for it....right through the screen door!

Mommy came down stairs and she couldn't find Brynn or Leah. She was shouting their names, and looking all over. She figured they HAD to be in the house. She just happened to look outside and she saw a minivan swerve in the street.

"No way, Maryn!" She said to me. "They can't have gotten outside, could they?" That is when she noticed the door, and ran as FAST as LIGHTNING outside to see my two sisters giggling away that their plan worked.

They weren't giggling for long though. At least Brynn wasn't. Leah was pretty proud of herself.

Mommy learned her lesson about trusting us for even 30 seconds alone (and now she knows were even smarter than she gave us credit for.)
She'll be on guard now. I don't think we'll get away with bad behavior again any time soon.
Oh, and if you don't see my sisters for a while, it's probably cause they are STILL in time out!
Love,
Maryn

Happy Birthday America!

Here is a picture of us last year on the 4th of July:

Here we are this year! (this is a picture from the newspaper)

We hope you have a fabulous holiday! We'll update you with all of our fun 4th of July stories next week. Enjoy!

On a completely unrelated topic, Peter took this picture of Maryn and Leah in the back yard. It's like we're running our own little nudist colony...This picture just CRACKS ME UP! Hope you get a laugh out of it too!

Local "Celebs" :)

Hi! Happy weekend!
Guess what we did today?! We got our picture taken for the paper.
We were in it last year for the 4th of July and someone from the city called and asked if they could come out and take some updated pictures so that the readers can see how much we've grown in a year. Sometimes it is hard to get us all to smile at the same time. Cheese! (Hopefully the photographer got some better shots than mom did! ;)

We've been playing outside in our pool a lot since it's been so nice. Mom always gives us lots of water and stuff, but she NEVER lets us have her "juice." (Diet Coke) So, yesterday, when she wasn't looking, Leah snagged it to check it out and see what it tastes like.

She was sneaky enough to get a few sips, then when mom caught her, she pretended she was just holding it. Here you go, mom. It was good! Kinda bubbly.

Maryn also wants to send a "shout out" to our very good friend Danielle. She came over to visit us this week, and left some NONNIES hidden for Maryn. Thanks Danielle! You're the best!

Kissing...

You Know You're a Mom of Multiples If:

Your family and friends introduce you to new people not by your first name, but as “the mom with triplets that I told you about”

Your stroller is longer than your first car.

You pack a weekender bag for a trip to the store.

You avoid eye contact with strangers at all costs to avoid the
"Octomom/Jon & Kate +8" discussions.

When going out to eat with the family, instead of checking to see if the restaurant
has a waiting list, you check to make sure they have enough highchairs.

Your most exhilarating purchase of the last year was a fence for the backyard.

Your credit card company calls after you start buying for the nursery to make sure your credit card hasn’t been stolen because someone keeps buying three of everything!

You walk into the kitchen and discover your triplets are “rearranging” the cabinets and you let them, because, what the heck, it keeps them busy for 15 minutes.

People ask “2 boys and a girl?” while you are pushing your stroller with 3 identical pink covered princesses with frilly bows (I still can't figure that one out!)

You’re constantly counting children!

You wonder why no one stares and approaches you when you are out with one child alone.

You don’t even get embarrassed anymore when you’re out with your family, and your husband responds to the question, “Triplets, how did that happen?” with the ever popular “Three times in one night, baby” ;)
(responses given by MVMOM moms of multiples)

Daddies (and little girls) Rule!

Today is a day when we celebrate our dad and all of the cool stuff he does for us.
Our dad loves us SO much that he climbed WAY up to the top of the tree at our cabin to get our swings into the best place for underdogs.
Thanks Dad! You're so brave!

This weekend we spent lots of time at the lake.
Here's Leah and Daddy in the fishing boat:

Our cousin Abby was at the lake too. Here we are laying in the hammock and enjoying our girl time:

While we enjoyed our girl time at the lake, Brynn went to Mimi and Papa's and enjoyed some pampering there. Shopping and a pedicure. What more could a girl ask for?

To Daddy, Papa Klein and Poppa J-We love you so much! We're so lucky to have such special daddies and grandpa's in our lives. You are truly the best!
xoxo-
MBL

P.S. Look at the neat gift we got for the daddy/grandpa's we love. Golf balls with our pictures on it! Pretty cool, huh? We're good luck charms!

1st's (ER Visit & Babysitter)

Q: What's worse than spending all afternoon on a gorgeous summer day in the Emergency Room?

A: Spending the afternoon in the Emergency Room at Children's WITH THREE 18 month olds! (ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!) You can't even imagine! Seriously, I couldn't have even imagined until I lived today. 3 starving kids (2 of them, sick) screaming non-stop for 3 continuous hours. It should be like a "fear factor" challenge. I'd rather eat a pig liver any old day! ;)

Hi, it's Leah.
Today was a bad day. Mom said we were going to the zoo, which sounds like it should be a fun day, but it wasn't. We got to the zoo and barely walked into the door to go on the rides and my eye started to get all itchy. Pretty soon it was so puffy I couldn't see out of it anymore. I had big itchy red spots all over my head and my eye. My face kept getting bigger and itchier, so mom made us leave the zoo and go to a horrible place called the Emergency Room. When we got into the car, I saw that Maryn had big red itchy spots too. We cried all the way.

When we got there this mean nurse lady took my blood pressure, and it must not have been a very good number. (I could tell Mimi and mommy were nervous) After about 2 hours I started to feel a little bit better. Here's a picture of me when I felt better. (I know I don't really look like I feel better, but I do! You should've seen me before!)

Brynn was the only one of us who felt good, so it was her job to call daddy and papa to report on me and Maryn:

After WAY too long at the hospital, the doctor decided that we are either allergic to strawberries or sunscreen. He gave us some medicine and sent us home with something called an EpiPen. We can't eat strawberries or use sunscreen till we go and see Dr. Oster about an allergy test. (I hope that's not a shot!) All in all it was a horrible day for everyone, however, the mean nurse did redeem herself and give us Popsicles. I guess that helps a little.

The good news is that not all of the weekend was as bad as today. We had our very first babysitter come to stay with us! Her name is Anna and we think she's way cool!

We also went to see our GG (or Great Grandma) and all of her friends. Here's a picture of Brynn and GG.

Oh, what a weekend! Here's to hoping our week isn't quite as "exciting!"

Love,
Leah
