End of Summer...

This year, our mom and dad took us to the Great Minnesota Get-Together!
We've never been before...and it was AWESOME!
We kept telling mom and dad about all of the foods we just NEEDED to try...hot dogs on a stick, malts, mini-donuts, cotton candy, cookies....we ate our way though!
For never having been there, mom and dad were surprised about all of the foods we just knew we needed to try.
Brynnie went on the "red boat ride" (Ye Old Mill) with mommy and she loved it! She pretended she was "Brynnie the Adventurer" trying to find her way out of the deep dark cave. Her tiny friends, the gnomes helped her find her way.
We all went on the bumper boats, and rode tractors.
We got all kinds of free hats and bags...got to pet horses and pigs...
Literally.... next to Christmas and our birthday party....it was the BEST DAY EVER!
Next year can't come soon enough.
We're 3 little carnies!

The sad thing about State Fair time is that it means the end of summer. Mommy told us that it is going to get really cold. As soon as we heard that, we ran over to tell Alex and Ariel that it is going to snow.
Mom said it will snow in a WHILE....not today. I guess we have to wait.
Snow sounds kinda fun to us!
We spent Labor Day weekend at Sugar Lake and guess what we caught:

A monarch butterfly!
We brought her home with us.
We were all too scared to hold her, but Ariel is in 1st grade, so she wasn't scared.
We brought our monarch home to live in our neighborhood.
We let her go.
Hopefully she finds a nice tree-home by our house.
Then, we could have 2 pets...Reese and Monarch.

We've been having a little trouble going to sleep lately.
Last night Maryn was scared.
She told mommy and daddy that she was too scared to sleep, but they didn't sympathize.
Thank God for sisters!

What We've Been Up To...

First, the big news! We're ballerinas. Triple the tutus at our house!
We're all signed up for our first ballet class.
We went and picked out leotards and ballerina shoes.
We've all been practicing our moves.
We even got to try a practice class. We loved every minute.
Maryn even has a special "stance" she calls "the ballerina."
She puts her right toe on her left knee, and her arms in the air.
We'll try and snap a picture of it. Pretty adorable.

The hard part about being a ballerina is that you don't get to wear your beautiful ballerina dress all the time. Sometimes you have to wear real clothes. Bummer!
Every day we ask if we can wear our special dance dresses.
"Only on dance day," mommy says!

This weekend we went to the cabin with TONS of our friends.
There is a no-wake zone on Sugar Lake, but we made the best of it!

In a couple of weeks, we start school again!
Our whole schedule is going to change. We'll be busy little ladies with dance class, church school and preschool! So fun!

Maryn

Hi!
Time for a Maryn update.
We had a really fun time at Sugar Lake.
But, when we came back, I had to go to the hospital.
Mom and dad said when I got there I would get to put on special jammies and slippers. Then, I would do my breathing treatment, and fall asleep. When I woke up, and got ready to go home, I could eat ANYTHING I wanted. ( I couldn't eat before my breathing medicine...and I was HUNGRY!!)
I told them I would want a burger, chicken nuggets, chocolate ice cream and freezies.
I had the best intentions...and a hungry tummy.
I look really cute in my jammies, huh?
I picked bubble gum flavor for my medicine.

As much as I wanted to eat everything I could....this is what I felt like when I woke up.

I had a freezie...but that was about all.
Today, I am still not feeling so great.
My throat hurts. (I had my aednoids out and tubes put in)
I think mom and dad are still on the hook for a burger, chicken and chocolate ice cream.
Don't you?

Hope to feel better soon!
xoxo,
Maryn

A Week at Sugar

Hello from the Jonswold Family!
We just got back from a whole week at Sugar Lake.
Boy, was it fun!
We were like fish! We lived in the water!

Our auntie Lauren and uncle Nick and auntie Jenny even came with us!

Sometimes we took naps.

We fished...

and went round and round on the tire swing...

and tubed!
Mom was a little nervous. She told us to be careful!

Brynnie was so brave, she went all by herself!
Go Brynn!!

Here is Maryn deep sea swimming!

Smores galore! Yum!

We had a great time!

4th of July

Hi! It's Maryn!
We haven't written in a while, but that's just cause we've been so busy!
Summer is the best, don't you think?
We've been going up to Sugar Lake on the weekends.
Here's some pictures from the 4th of July!

Picking strawberries was SO fun!
We got lots and made Strawberry Shortcake.

Wanna know what else we did this weekend?
We went "deep sea swimming"!
That's where you take your boat out to the middle of the lake and you jump off and swim.
We were scared at first, but we warmed up to it!

We also had cousins camp!
All of our cousins were at the lake. We made garden stones, read stories, and played games.

Get that balloon on there tight, Brayden!

We also went to the Annandale carnival.
Some parts were really fun!

Some parts were not so fun!
Leah: "Dad, Didn't I tell you LAST YEAR that this is NO FUN??"

Thankfully, cotton candy brings an easy smile!
(especially if you eat it wearing your new princess crown that you won at the duck pond!)

After we left Sugar Lake, we went to the party at Papa's golf club.

So many fun games!
"I'll beat ya, mom!"
Our very favorite thing was to run and jump into the sandbox.
I think dad called it a sand trap.
Can we upgrade our sandbox and get one of these at home???
Pony Rides!
This is me riding Twitter the pony.

What a fun time!
I hope your fourth was as fun as ours was!
