Vacation

Hi!
Maryn here!
We just got back from our first vacation.
We went to a place called Brainerd.
Mostly, it was fun. But some things were not so fun...like swimming in the lake.

and having to sleep in pack 'n plays.

We did get to go out for pizza though!

and play with our good friend Danielle and our Auntie Lauren!

We learned some new things too, like how to suck our toes. See!

And, yesterday, I said the word "da-da." I could tell mom and dad were excited when I said it.
I don't really know what it means yet, but I am going to keep saying it cause it gets me attention. (especially from dad) I say it all the time now. I'm so smart!

Mimi took lots of pictures of us, so we got to practice modeling.
Strike a pose!

Most of the time though, we just laughed...and laughed...and laughed.
There's nothing better than having sisters to laugh with.
(I think my sisters are so silly!!! Don't you???)

Love,
Maryn

Hi Everyone,
It's me, Brynn.
Guess what? Our daddy is home! He was gone for work. We missed him so much!
We're glad he's back!
We spent some time wrestling with him today to welcome him home.
Today we went to our first charity event. It was for doggies, like ours, Reese.
We took her to get her nails cut, and get washed, and she even got her nails painted.
(We were excited cause we LOVE to have our nails painted)
We got to spend lots of time with daddy's cousin Kate this weekend too. She's so nice!
I have 2 teeth now. My favorite food is banana's (but sometimes I eat squash and sweet potato's)
I love to eat big girl food, but I still love my ba ba too.
Love, Brynn

Teeth

Hi,
It's Leah.
I cut my first tooth today...well last night actually.
You wouldn't believe how much it hurts. (and I drool a whole lot!)
Do I really need teeth? Mom and dad say I do, and all kids have teeth, but boy this is no fun.
I was up last night screaming. I'm lucky I have such a great mom and dad. We saw each other a lot last night. (I'm not sure they were as happy to see me as I was to see them!)
We were up at 11, 12:30, 1:30, 2:15 and then I finally fell asleep until about quarter to 6. Maryn, Brynn and I really don't like this whole teething thing. We try to get anything we can in our mouths, but nothing really helps too much.
This morning Brynn bit me with her new bottom tooth. It hurt. I cried.

Love, Leah

Here are some pictures from when we are in a bit of a better mood.

Happy Father's Day!

Hi and Happy Father's Day!
Today we spent the day celebrating daddy, poppa and grandpa. We love them so much!
It was a fun day!!!
On Thursday though, we DID NOT have a fun day. We had to go and visit Dr. Oster and get shots. Ouch!!!! (It was just our regular 6 month check-up) The doctor said we look awesome! She said if she hadn't seen us before and didn't have our charts right in front of her, she would have NO IDEA that we were preemies. Our weights, height and development are perfect for 6 month olds. We can roll over, and almost sit on our own.
We love to smile and chatter (we are VERY social girls) and we are strong! We get to start adding fruit and veggies to our diet! We're starting with orange veggies and then we get to add more. Our Mimi (aka-Granny Nettie) is making our baby food. So, as soon as we have mastered rice, we're on to the good stuff.
Maryn weighs 16 pounds, Brynn weighs 15 and a half, and Leah weights 14 and a half.
We are all starting to drool a lot, and we love to chew on everything, so the doctor said teeth are on their way. Brynn is just starting to cut her first one today. Teething makes us a little crabby, but we know we need teeth to eat yummy things like cookies, so we will try and hang in there! :)

Happy Father's Day to all of the Daddies out there!
Love,
Maryn, Brynn and Leah

P.S. We are sleeping through the night most nights now, from about 8:30p-8:30a. Mom and dad are thrilled! :)

Kiddywampus, Tractors and Cake

Hello and Happy Friday!
Today we went to Kiddywampus in St. Louis Park with the Hanlin triplets!
There were so many fun toys (and fun kids!) to play with. We want to go back again!
We got pretty crabby toward the end of our trip though. We were ready for a bottle and a nap.
Maybe they should have cribs there so kids could"refuel" and not have to leave! There were lots of toys there for little kids like us, and toys for big kids too. We want to go there every day!
On Tuesday, we went to our Great Grandma Klein's house. You wouldn't believe the party they had for us. We felt like celebrities. They had a cake and everything. Lots of hand sanitizer flying around that place! We met lots of nice people that day! They said they have been waiting and waiting to meet us!
And, this week, Leah got to mow the yard with daddy. (We all take turns)
There is a picture of Leah and daddy on the tractor. Mommy was worried we would be afraid of the noise, but we aren't. We usually fall asleep. It feels nice to be so close to daddy.

Have a good weekend!

Over we go!

Hi Everyone! Maryn here! I just had to write to tell you the good news! I rolled over today...all by myself. I'm so proud! I was a little scared when I realized that I could do it, but then I did it again. It was so fun! I also tried to eat some rice cereal. I'm not really a fan. Dad and I had a little stare down. He wouldn't let me go until I swallowed it. (I wish mom fed me the whole time. She is a softy!) It took a while, but finally, I choked it down. I hope he doesn't make me try that again! I'll stick to bottles-Thank you!
Leah says she liked it! I think she was just pretending to like it so that she could be done eating and go play with Grandma!
Hope you had a good weekend!

Love, Maryn
