A Snowstorm at the Golf Club

Today was the winter carnival at papa's golf club.
What could be better than being snowed in with mimi and papa at such a fun place!?
Papa and I practiced our golf swings.
He put tape where my feet should go, and he reminded me to choke up on the club.
Whenever I hit the ball, I would yell, "score!"
He was pretty proud! (so was I)

Not only did we play golf, we sent sledding down the big hills.

Thanks for a fun day!
Love,
Brynn

Hello World!

We have pretty much been sick since we last wrote.
We've had just about enough of winter.

Jan 28th was mommy's birthday.
Every year she gets a birthday cake from Key's. It is her very favorite cake in the WHOLE world.
Mommy had 1 piece left and she was SO looking forward to enjoying it after our bedtime.
Leah asked if she could have some, and mommy said no.
Leah didn't like that answer.
So....Leah waited.
She waited for her prime moment to swoop in.
Maryn and mommy went upstairs. Daddy and Brynn fell asleep on the couch.
Where did we find Leah?
She silently pulled out the drawers and climbed them to get a bite of the world's best cake.
Sorry mommy! None left!
Off to time out, but it was SO worth it!

Notice that Leah is wearing her swimsuit.
The girls LOVE to play "Pool." They wear their suits all day and pretend to swim.
They also play "Fancy Dance," "Otters," "Princess" (mommy gets to be the prince) and "Baby."

Last night we got out of the house for a bit to see our great grandma.
Here's Maryn with GG.

Happy Valentines Day!
Wish us health!
Love,
MLB

Sick and Tired...

....of being sick and tired!
Oh boy, what a week!
Here is our running list of illnesses since Jan 21:

Maryn-RSV, strep, double ear infection and pneumonia
Brynn-RSV and double ear infection
Leah-RSV and double ear infection
Mom-RSV and a horrible sore throat and pink eye
Dad-RSV and sinus infection

Thanks to all of our amazing friends who brought us meals, treats and even balloons to help us survive the week.
Thanks to grandparents who helped pick up the slack!
This is pretty much what our house looked like.
So excited about her balloon,  but too sick to play with it! :(
Pray for a healthy week for the Jonswold's!
We're still on the mend!

Sesame Street Live...and Other Updates

It's been too long since our last update!
Lots to catch up on!
Wednesday night we went to Sesame Street with our cousin Abby.
We saw Elmo and Bird...ate popcorn and cotton candy...and danced the night away!
Right now we are battling yet another round of strep. (our 6th since August)
Everyone in our family (including Reese, our dog!) is on an antibiotic.
If we get another round after this, we're going to have our tonsils out.
Pray this nasty stuff stays away!

School is good! We're learning so much!
We know our colors and can write "our" letters. MB and L
We go to lunch bunch, and request that our sandwiches have jelly only and NO crust.
(we really don't like crust)

Like most toddlers, we are also at a very honest phase in life.
Leah told mimi that our dad pees standing up cause he has a boob growing on his bottom.
Maryn asked the nurse at the doctors office (very loudly might I add) not to stick anything in her butt, cause that is naughty.
Brynn told mom that she is waiting to get big so her boobs can grow.
Mom and dad think we're comedians.
We think we are pretty funny too!

Ice Princesses

Our daddy is our hero, and one of our VERY favorite things to do with him (Maryn in particular) is to watch hockey.
Dad said there is a place by our house where we could skate! (just like the big hockey guys)
So...we went!
We got some skates, and daddy tied them up tight!
 We were SO excited!

Out on the ice we went!

This is Brynn and Mimi. Mimi needed the "special helper" as much as Brynn did. (maybe more!)

Mommy needed it too! I promised her I wouldn't laugh if she fell! :)
Maryn decided that even more fun than the actual skating was having daddy or papa carry her around the ice fast! Why exercise when you can be carried??

At the end of the day, Brynn decided that she really liked to skate. She didn't want to leave!
Leah was too excited  by the concession stand...she couldn't get those bright gummy worms she saw behind the counter out of her mind.
And Maryn...well, she was content to be carried!
Great first day on the ice!
