Picture Preview

We recently had our pictures taken by Annie Torrini.
What an amazing lady. If you can get good shots of three 2 year olds, I'm convinced you can do anything! :)
We are saving our favorite for our Christmas card, but here is a little preview of some of the other pictures.

Cast Update:
Maryn is doing pretty well! She is finally walking again! We went in Monday and they decided not to put a new one on. Our next appointment is in 3 weeks. (3 days before the girls big walk down the aisle for Nick and Jenny's wedding! Pray for quick healing!)

Snow:
The girls spent some time outside in the snow today. They kept saying "Mommy, we're going snowing" as they were getting all bundled up.
Leah LOVED "snowing." She helped her daddy shovel the driveway and wanted to stay outside every second she could.
Maryn asked to go in the moment we walked out the door. Ahhh...such different personalities.
It took us about 20 minutes to actually get out the door, but it was so worth it to hear the excitement in the girls voices about going "snowing."
Maybe we'll go "snowing" again tomorrow. We've got lots of snow days ahead of us girls! :)

Enjoy the pictures!

TTTS Awareness Day

Today is TTTS Awareness Day which affects about 1/3 mono-di multiples. (Mono-di multiples are "identical" and share a single placenta, like Brynn and Leah)

www.worldtttsawarenessday.org

We will be lighting a candle for the families of Adrian & Samuel, Grace & Rose, and so many others close to our hearts who have been affected by this devastating diagnosis.
May love and peace fill your hearts!

2 Year Stats

Maryn
Height: 34 1/8''
Weight:27#5 oz (remember that this weight includes a 1-2 pound cast!)
Head: 19 3/8''

Brynn
Height: 34 1/8''
Weight: 25# 4 oz
Head: 19''

Leah
Height: 33 7/8''
Weight: 23# 13.5oz
Head: 18.5''

We went in for our 2 year appointment today. All of the girls look great!
I can't believe they are 2!
Leah is still our little peanut. She is long and lean.
She is in the 50-75% for height, and about the 5% for weight.
Maryn and Brynn are exactly the same height and pretty close in weight.
We don't actually know what Maryn's weight is since she is wearing a huge fiberglass cast! ;)
She's been doing really well with her cast. She's not in pain anymore, but she continues to tell us that she is "stuck." She gets pretty frustrated not being able to walk anywhere. She just scoots on the floor using her arms.
We're trying to encourage her to learn to walk on her cast. Unfortunately, she has NO interest and she is pretty strong willed, so we'll see what she decides to do.
We go in on Monday to check her break and get a new cast. (They want to keep it really tight, we'll update on her leg after that appointment!)
We're just hoping she'll be able to walk down the aisle for Uncle Nick's wedding on New Years Eve!

THANK YOU Grammie and Bev for coming with to our appointment! It helped to have extra hugs and kisses at the doctors office!
In addition to our broken leg, we found out that all 3 girls have ear infections.
Started antibiotics tonight...
Needless to say, our life isn't boring right now! ;) And since they turned two, Brynn and Leah have decided that they don't want to nap anymore...well, not for more than an hour.
I miss my 2-3 hour nappers!
We're growing up!

Purple Cast

Hi, it's Maryn!
Your broken-legged girl!
This weekend was supposed to be so much fun!!
We had a "daddys day out" with our daddy and papa.
We were going to go to the park and I was SO excited!
When we got there, I decided to go down the slide. ( I LOVE to slide!)
While I was going down, my leg bent funny and it REALLY hurt.
I cried and cried...
Daddy decided to take me to the doctor. They took some pictures that had to go to another doctor to be read. (I guess our doctor can't read pictures, only words)
I spent my whole birthday weekend sad and with a hurt leg.
Last night we got a call from our doctor that my leg was broken. My mom says that when my leg got stuck on the slide, the pressure from my foot split the leg bone from about my ankle to my knee.
It didn't really look broken to me, but it sure hurt, so I suppose they must be right.
Today, I went in for my cast.
I was pretty scared when we got there, but it was really no big deal.
The doctor took some pictures of my leg and decided I needed to be "stuck" in this thing from my hip to my toes for the next 3-4 weeks or so.
I kept telling mommy that I was "stuck" and she said I was supposed to be.
I guess being "stuck" makes my leg feel better.
When the doctor was done putting on the cast, I got to pick my color. Of course, I picked purple.
I even got a Dora the Explorer sticker.
Yeah, the doctor wasn't so bad.
I got a special cast that I can take a bath in...and guess what...my mommy and daddy even wrote me special messages on my cast. Maybe you can sign it too?
Pray that I heal quickly!
Love,
Maryn Elizabeth

Elmo Party

Hi! Hope you had a great weekend. No matter how good it was, we don't think it could have been better than ours!
We turn 2 next week, and this weekend was our birthday party!!!
Here is a picture of us in the morning on our way to school.
Cheese!

Here we are catching the last few minutes of Sesame Street before heading out the door. Mom couldn't quite get us to look at the camera.Elmo's World was on!
We LOVE Elmo!

We even got to wear these neat-o shirts!

When we got home from school, our grandparents and aunties and uncles came over for a party!!
We had PIZZA! Our favorite!

We even got presents! We loved each one so much, we could hardly stop playing with it to open the next! Thank you everybody!
Check out this "pop star" outfit from Auntie Lauren. Here's Leah singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
And the surprise guest....ELMO!!!

Maryn was brave and had her picture taken with him.

Brynn and Leah...they prefer to see Elmo on T.V.

After Elmo went back to Sesame Street, we got to have cake. Look at this cake that our mommy made for us. It was so yummy!

Saturday is our real birthday, we turn 2 at 4:58, 5:00 and 5:01 a.m. on November 28th.
On that day we're spending the WHOLE day doing fun stuff with our mommy and daddy.
Another celebration! We can't wait!
Hope there is more cake!
Love,
MBL
Boy, are birthdays fun!

Croupy Kiddos

Sorry we haven't checked in for a while, we've been a little under the weather. :(
We caught a bug and coughed and coughed and coughed. We had to bring out "the bear" (our nebulizer) again. Mom even had to get some stronger steroids from the doctor for our lungs.
It was a tough week, but it wasn't with out its good parts: Lots of hugs and kisses and all the juice and popsicles we wanted and the best part of all...mom didn't make us get dressed. We got to wear our jammies all day. (Even mommy wore her jammies all day) It was a PJ party. Complete with all the Sesame Street movies we could fit in.
We're feeling better now, thank goodness! It's been so beautiful outside!
Thanks for shining on us, Mr. Sun!
Love,
Maryn, Brynn and Leah
P.S. Can you believe we are almost 2?! The countdown to our Elmo party is ON!
