Relaxin' at Sugar Lake

Hi there! Hope you are enjoying your summer as much as we are.
We are at Sugar Lake livin' the easy life.
No pants required:

We've learned lots about Sugar Lake. We overheard mom saying that daddy and his cousins used to have big parties there...and something about kids dancing on tables. Sounded kinda fun! Boogie Woogie!

Daddy said that if he caught us dancing on the table with our friends, we'd be in the dog house. Just so that we know what we're in for, Brynn decided to try it out. Not too bad. Kinda fun, actually!

We're spending lots of time playing in the sand...building castles with moats, raking up lake weed, and just having a ball!

We got to spend a lot of time relaxing too. For the beginning of our week we had strep throat AND probably a virus too. We had temperatures that were between 103 and 104 degrees. Not fun! At least we were in a good place to take it easy with the people we love.

We got to spend lots of time with our Auntie. Did you know that Auntie Lauren is mommy's sister? Sisters RULE!

So do cousins!

We can't wait until we get older and can go tubing like mommy. Daddy pulled us around the yard in a tube, but he said we're not big enough to go in the water yet. Soon!

We did get to do lots of boating, though!

A great time is being had by all!

Happy Summer!
Love,
Maryn, Brynn and Leah

Wow! What a weekend! Fireworks, rides, a parade, a carnival, even cupcakes and mini donuts! We're exhausted, and are about to head to bed, but we wanted to show you a few pictures before we crawl in.

Hope you had a great celebration too!

BIG TROUBLE!

Hi,
It's Maryn.
Brynn and Leah are in time out, and they might be forever, so I snuck away to the computer so that I could tell you what happened. They were SO NAUGHTY! (Remember, I had nothing to do with the bad behavior!)

Mommy told us we had to come inside for supper. Brynn and Leah didn't want to. So they followed mommy inside and waited for their chance. Mommy went upstairs for a few seconds thinking we'd be safe in our house like we always were (and literally everything is babyproof) Boy was she wrong! She didn't know that when sisters put their heads together, they come up with great plans!
Brynn and Leah decided to make a break for it....right through the screen door!

Mommy came down stairs and she couldn't find Brynn or Leah. She was shouting their names, and looking all over. She figured they HAD to be in the house. She just happened to look outside and she saw a minivan swerve in the street.

"No way, Maryn!" She said to me. "They can't have gotten outside, could they?" That is when she noticed the door, and ran as FAST as LIGHTNING outside to see my two sisters giggling away that their plan worked.

They weren't giggling for long though. At least Brynn wasn't. Leah was pretty proud of herself.

Mommy learned her lesson about trusting us for even 30 seconds alone (and now she knows were even smarter than she gave us credit for.)
She'll be on guard now. I don't think we'll get away with bad behavior again any time soon.
Oh, and if you don't see my sisters for a while, it's probably cause they are STILL in time out!
Love,
Maryn
