It was the girls "official" due date on Sunday. We celebrated with a little Superbowl party at grandma and grandpa's. The girls weren't too into the game...they pretty much slept right through. (just like their mom :)
We had doctors appointments last Friday. Their weights are now up to 8.5-9.5 lbs! They're getting to be big girls! Maryn should be able to come off of her apnea monitor soon. She has been doing really well. I think her last "spell" was Jan 19th. (which she did not need stimulation for) We are hoping to get another week or two in the clear and we will most likely be freed from the monitor!
Leah, the little peanut, most likely has a hernia. We take her into the doctor on Friday to have it checked out and see if she will need surgery for that. Hernia's are more common in preemie babies. Please pray that it is not painful for her, and it will be an easy and quick fix.
Sleep is a hot commodity at the Jonswold's these days. Long gone are the nights of 8 solid hours. :) Our girls are night owls. Here is a little sneak peek at our nightly schedule these days:
10:00 p.m.-Feed
12:30 a.m.-Feed (I have NO idea why they are starving by 12:30 after they eat at 10:00, but they are always looking for food around midnight)
2:00 Feed (sometimes we can push this one a little later!)
5:30 Feed
They are eating about 4 oz per feeding.
I'm learning to live on a minute of sleep here and a minute there. Thank God for volunteers who come over so that I can nap during the day! We also have some night time help a couple of days a week which I don't think we could survive without! We're exhausted, but so thankful to have healthy little ones at home!
I'll post some new pictures soon! We have them on my mom's camera, so I just have to have her email them over so that I can get them up! :)
Have a great week!
